Everyone's welcome at the counter

Accessibility

A warm bakery should feel warm to everyone. We're committed to making rosalindbakery.com usable and welcoming for people of all abilities — and to keeping it that way as the site grows.

Our commitment

This site is built and maintained to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Accessibility isn't a one-time fix — we review new pages and content against these standards and welcome feedback that helps us do better.

Reading & vision

Built to be read

  • Text and interface colors meet AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • A Larger text option and a Readable font (Atkinson Hyperlegible) are in the Accessibility menu, top right — your choice is remembered.
  • Every photograph has descriptive alternative text for screen readers.

Keyboard & motion

Usable without a mouse

  • Everything works by keyboard, with a clear visible focus ring on each control.
  • A Skip to content link appears when you start tabbing.
  • We respect your reduced-motion system setting and minimize animation.

Structure

Clear & well-labelled

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate by section.
  • Descriptive links and buttons — no "click here."
  • Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly when zoomed to 200%.
